Coach Bammel has been coaching in the state of Texas for 15 years. He began his coaching career at Morton Ranch High School in Katy, TX where he started off in 2006 as an assistant coach for three years before he became the head coach at Morton for the next three years. It was in 2012, Lake Travis reached out to him to interview for the head coaching job at Lake Travis High School and with excitement, he moved his family to the Lake Travis area. Since then, David Bammel has been coaching in multiple capacities in the Lake Travis area, including the Academy for Dynamo Juniors of Central Texas for 3 years and for the past three years working with 9 v 9 Select soccer with Lake Travis Elite.

Soccer Achievements 

After 9 years of being a head coach, Coach Bammel as compiled a record of 143-44-27.  He has made the playoffs every year he has been a head coach with a playoff record of 24-9.  He has been to the State Finals twice, once with Morton Ranch and one with Lake Travis High School. 

Coach Bammel has been honored as District Coach of the Year 4 times and 6A Region 2 Coach of the Year twice.  In 2016 he was honored by the Austin Soccer Foundation as the Central Texas Head Coach of the Year.
